Mary said, she had seen Him

But why haven't we?

Where is He?

What is He doing?

Questions, so many questions.

We ran back to tell the others, but what could we say.

Here we go round and round in circles, not knowing which way to go.

Now that we had a few moments to think about it,

Questions come to mind

Why were the face cloths separate to to the rest of the linen

How come they were all left in the tomb?

Where was His body?

What did He tell us would happen?

It's easy as someone who looks back in time to point the finger and say

Well of course He rose from the dead, He had to, to complete the process of redemption.

And His body, if it had still been left in the tomb, He would be no different than any other human.

But what I would like to know is

When He paid the price for our sins and was resurrected, were the linen wrappings and face cloth left stained with His blood?

Or were they washed whiter than snow in the redemption process.

We hear about the Shroud of Turin, does it really pay a part the the salvation story.

Could it be Man's attempt to take away the Glory of Christ's death, His burial and then His resurrection?

All I know is that Jesus came to earth with a mission to show us the way to God.

In doing that He had to be born as a baby, enjoy his childhood, through the emotions and changes as a teenager.

He took a job and was trained as a carpenter, and then went on to tell people about His Father in heaven.

He did not have an easy death, all be it , it wasn't a long illness.

But He suffered the physical beatings, along with total humiliation and been made a laughing stock.

Even though He could have called on thousand of angels to help Him, He had to go through it alone.

The weight of sin on His shoulders was almost unbearable.

But more than that was the feeling that His Father in Heaven, had turned His back on Him.

The courage that Jesus had is beyond belief, and yet He went through it for me and for you.

He had to die, be placed in a tomb, and then rise from the dead to complete the cycle,

So that we are able to come to God and ask forgiveness and start to build a relationship with Him.

A relationship, that will blossom and take us in ways we never thought possible.

As long as we allow Him to be the centre of our lives.

This life is more than the present moment.  It's a preparation for the life after death.

Whilst we still wake up in a morning, we still have a choice.

But once we leave this world, your choice has been made.

To live with God is your choice right now.

To live without Him, is your choice now and after your life has ended.

We are told that to live without God after death will be worse than our worst nightmares.

Ask God to be your guide through out your life and He will be your guide after death.

You have a choice this moment, but it might be your last.
